Digital India was introduced by prime minister of India Narendra Modi on 1 July 2015, with a perspective of developing rural areas with a high speed of internet network and improving digital literacy. It is the motive of digital India to develop all the sectors of services like education, electronic, manufacturing, products, and job opportunities. It is focused on three key areas – digital infrastructure as a service to every citizen, governance and services on demand, and digital empowerment of citizens.

2. MyGov.in is applied as a platform for citizen appointment in governance. For this, the government has engaged a “Discuss,” “Do” and “Disseminate” approach.

3. Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) Mobile app can be used by people and government organisations to achieve the agenda of Swachh Bharat Mission.

4. eSign framework allows citizens to sign a document online by using Aadhaar authentication.

5. Bharat Net is a high-speed digital freeway to connect the 2.5 lakh Gram Panchayats of the country. This would be the world’s main rural broadband connectivity project which uses optical fiber.
